Yungblud’s IDOLS WORLD TOUR – 8/24/2025
When something spectacular and special comes by, you know you have to see it at least once. I am fortunate and glad to be able to see Yungblud on what is probably their last tour in a smaller venue.

Yungblud, born Dominic Richard Harrison, brought the IDOLS WORLD TOUR to America, with the second stop at Observatory North Park in San Diego. Yungblud brought along alt-rock man with a solid voice, Sawyer Hill, as support for this tour.

Sawyer Hill came on with his baritone, silky voice that makes you melt inside. The band started with “Firestarters,” a song that flowed with emotion and pain before hitting a gritty section where anger pours out. I discovered Sawyer on TikTok, and his song “Look at the Time” was on repeat for me. Both artists clearly love their fans and give back in spades.

Before the tour started, Sawyer held a free secret show on the penthouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. Those curly locks swing and sway as he belts out notes while tracks like “Look at the Time” and “High on My Lows” are heartbreakingly relatable, delivered with a grin you can’t miss.

Finally, the venue lights cut out, and the crowd screamed. Yungblud walked out, leather pants and cheetah-print vest on, with swagger and sex appeal that made the crowd swoon. The band opened with the nine-minute epic “Hello Heaven, Hello,” shifting from suspense to anthemic sections and ending in a ballad, like a mini rock opera. The songs show how vocally impressive Yungblud is and on the guitar as well.

Dom interacts with the crowd and shows so much life—even throwing beer into the crowd, which hit me a few times. Lol. During “Fleabag,” Yungblud crowd surfs briefly, and then stands up supported by the crowd to finish the rest of the song, a true rockstar moment.

One of the standout moments was their cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes.” Unlike the version at Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert “Back To The Beginning,” Yungblud’s voice carried the weight of anguish, pain, and pure love. Tears flowed, the crowd cried along. It was raw and vulnerable, a highlight of the night that will stay with me.

After the final song, Yungblud told everyone they’d meet them outside in 45 minutes. Fans lined up for selfies, autographs, and quick chats, each getting their full attention. I even caught a wink at the camera!

People viewed Ozzy as passing on the torch to Yungblud. I think that’s too much to live up to, and I don’t even know what Dom wants to do if they want to carve a different path for themself. But first, conquer America. And then The World.
